Kulvir Singh, the victim of an attack, speaks to the media in Muegel

Kulvir Singh, the victim of an attack, speaks to the media in Muegel August 20, 2007. German police say a mob who attacked eight Indians in eastern Germany on Saturday night could have had far-right racist motives. Three of the Indians required hospital treatment after 50 people attacked the visitors at a town fair and then besieged them in a pizzeria until rescued. Seventy police were required to disperse the mob. Two officers and four Germans were also injured. Muegeln lies between Leipzig and Dresden. REUTERS/Stringer (GERMANY)

Последователи секты  Виссариона участвуют в массовой молитве в деревне Petropavlovka
Followers of a sect led by Vissarion, who has proclaimed himself a new Christ, attend a mass prayer in the village of Petropavlovka about 580 km (360 miles) southeast of the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk August 18, 2007. Former police officer Vissarion gave up his original name of Sergei Torop and created a sect in 1991, whose members give up their property to join the construction of a so-called Sun City on the slopes of the mountain where their leader is. Russia's dominant Orthodox Church says sects like that of Vissarion, which have mushroomed after the collapse of the Soviet Union, ruin the moral health of the nation by indoctrinating their disciples and call for their ban.
